The Center for Fitness and Health offers a professional
bodybuilder to help the community stay fit.
It’s almost July 4 and you may be asking,
“Where is the summer going?”. Whether you are watching
the calendar or your waistline, it’s not too late to get in
shape. The Center for Fitness and Health, which was developed in
partnership with Monongahela Valley Hospital, now adds the distinction
of having a professional bodybuilder, who is dedicated to the health
and wellness of the Center’s members, among its team of certified
trainers.
AJ Hribal, a trainer at the Center, won the overall
men’s bodybuilding competition in the Organization of Competitive
Bodybuilders’ Iron City Classic on May 21. By winning this
competition, Mr. Hribal received his pro card which means he is
now a natural professional bodybuilder.
“I started working out when I was 4 years
old in the basement with my uncle,” said the bodybuilder who
also was named the Open-Middleweight Champion at the competition.
“When I was 15, I began serious conditioning.”
Mr. Hribal went on to earn a degree in Fitness and
Wellness from California University. While still in college, he
competed in his first show. The recent event marks only his third
competition.
In addition to Mr. Hribal, the Center employs a
staff of eight certified personal trainers who are available during
the day, evenings and on weekends.
The Center for Fitness and Health is one of the
most clinically-oriented and medically advanced fitness facilities
in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The facility combines state-of-the-art
fitness equipment and programs with comprehensive medical diagnostics,
therapeutics and rehabilitation services.
“The medical expertise of MVH personnel along
with the expertise of our fitness professionals creates a truly
unique facility for our members,” said Don Doyle, general
manager of the fitness center. “At any given time, we have
a diverse group of people working out in the Center. Everyone joins
to meet their specific goals and needs. For example, high school
athletes may come to the Center for training and conditioning while
people in their 30s and 40s want to build muscle and seniors want
to prolong their active lifestyles.”
