Help Fight Cancer with Comedy Show

(August 31, 2017 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

If laughter is the best medicine, then be sure to add "A Night of Comedy to Fight Cancer" to your schedule.

The comedy show will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Lock 4 Volunteer Fire Company in North Charleroi. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The show's headliner is David Kaye, as seen on ABC and Comedy Central, and will feature clever Cleveland comic, Quinn Patterson, with Lisa Dapprich from WGN-TV's "The Outsiders," acting as host. The event also includes a 50-50 raffle and Chinese Auction. The $20 ticket donation includes soft drinks and water. Attendees, who must be over 21, may BYOB and snacks.

Laurie Chester, a two-time cancer survivor who works in the Human Resources Department at Monongahela Valley Hospital, is sponsoring the event to raise funds to help cancer patients in the mid-Monongahela Valley.

"I'm really excited, this is the second year for the comedy show," said Mrs. Chester. "With my experience fighting breast cancer, I wanted to continue to help support other cancer patients."

Tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting Laurie Chester at 724-263-3581.
