BOOMER-PALOOZA
RETURNS TO CHARLEROI
Featuring Bruce
In The USA: the World’s #1 Tribute to Bruce Springsteen
and the E Street Band
Boomer-Palooza will return to Chamber Plaza, Charleroi
on Monday, May 5, from 3 to 8 p.m.
More than 150 booths will display the best of local businesses,
restaurants and services available to area residents. Each
will provide information and showcase products and services
designed especially for both men and women of boomer-age
– those born from 1946 to 1964.
It is estimated that 330 baby boomers turn 60 every hour
and boomers are looking for access to new products, services
and opportunities. Trends are changing as a result of this
huge age group. SPHS Aging Services and a team of community
agencies and businesses have been working hard to make this
year’s Palooza bigger and better. More than 1,000
boomers turned out for last year’s event.
Boomer-Palooza’s Valley Favorite Foods also will
return this year highlighting even more samplings of delectable
treats than last year.
And, as an added bonus, this year’s featured entertainment
is a legendary musical tribute to the Boss. Matt Ryan, a
cast-member of the world famous “Legends in Concert”
show in Las Vegas, evolved “Bruce In The USA”
from his incredible portrayal of “The Boss”.
It led to the creation of the band taking the tribute to
a whole new level, on the road and right into Charleroi.
Ballroom dancing, cooking demos and health screenings will
take place amid the rocking repertoire of “The Boss.”
Admission is $3 admission with children under 12 admitted
free. $1 off coupons will be available in local businesses
and on the Boomer-Palooza website.
