HAMILTON NAMED GENERAL MANAGER OF
CENTER FOR FITNESS AND HEALTH

Corey A. Hamilton has been named general manager of Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Center for Fitness and Health, located at the Mon-Vale HealthPLEX in WillowPointe Plaza in Rostraver Township.

In this capacity, Hamilton oversees operations of the Center for Fitness and Health and supervision of staff at the facility. The Center for Fitness and Health features medically integrated fitness equipment and a membership of more than 2,500 persons.

“ We are very pleased to have Corey as our general manager,” Thomas J. Cullen, senior vice president at Monongahela Valley Hospital, said. “He has extensive experience and expertise in the management of fitness and wellness facilities and these qualities will be an asset to the goals and ideals of the Center for Fitness and Health and providing quality services for our membership.”

Prior to accepting the general manager position at the Center for Fitness and Health, Hamilton was general manager of the Sawmill Athletic Club in Columbus, Ohio. In that position, he was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the 85,000 square-foot athletic facility.

“ I’m looking forward to working with the staff and members of the Center for Fitness and Health to continue developing programs that will meet the needs and satisfaction of our members,” Hamilton said. “We have a dedicated and experienced staff of professionals who are ready, willing and able to help the members in any way possible. We have the ability to give specialized training to both a beginner who is just starting a fitness regimen or to an advanced, seasoned member. My first goal is to get out on the floor and meet our members.”

“ The HealthPLEX is an awesome facility with so many outpatient services available in one location,” he added. “It’s a real plus to have these medical professionals here.”

In addition to his most recent position in Columbus, Hamilton also has worked as General Partner/General Manager for Ventura County Athletic Clubs in Ventura, California and as Controller for Nautilus of California, Inc., also in California.

He was graduated in 1983 from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and physical education and completed his Master of Arts Degree in sports management and administration at The Ohio State University in Columbus.\

Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Center for Fitness and Health offers medically integrated cardiovascular and strength equipment; group fitness rooms for aerobics; an indoor 75-foot lap pool, a cushioned indoor walking track and much more.
