MVH Hosts Harmonics for Health

(March 7, 2017 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

Monongahela Valley Hospital's Better Breathers Club will kick-off the COPD Foundation's program "Harmonics for Health" on Wednesday, March 21, at 2 pm in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center. Rich Pantaleo, a retired music teacher from Monongahela, will lead the musical portion of the program.

If you are an individual with COPD or another chronic lung disease, the program can help you learn how to have better control of your breathing, exercise the muscles that help pull air in and push air out of the lungs, strengthen abdominal muscles for a more effective cough, boost self-confidence, relieve stress, socialize with others and have fun.

Reported benefits include a decrease in shortness of breath, increased sputum mobilization and increased quality of life.

The Better Breathers Club is free and open to all adults and their families, friends or caregivers who want to learn or share information about living well and breathing issues. For information, call 724-258-1932.
