Mark Your Calendars for MVH's Gala 29

(April 28, 2017 - Carroll Township, Pa.)

More than 600 employees, friends and physicians will celebrate Monongahela Valley Hospital's annual gala in "Rustic Elegance," this year's theme for Gala 29.

The black-tie fundraiser is Saturday, May 20, in the Wyndham Grand Hotel's Grand Ballroom, a new location this year due to overwhelming attendance.

The event will celebrate seven exemplary individuals for their commitment to excellence with Dimensions in Performance Awards. These awards honor the multi-dimensional talents of special friends, benefactors and members of the health care family who have distinguished themselves in the areas of philanthropy, medicine, volunteerism and civic well-being.

The awards and awardees are:

  • The Rose Award for Dimensions in Philanthropy - Robert "Archie" and Toni Allridge. This award recognizes members of our community for their benevolence and dedication to the enhancement of quality health care.

  • The Sickman-Levin Award for Dimensions in Medicine - L. Douglas Pepper, M.D. The award honors doctors with outstanding contributions to health care in the mid-Monongahela Valley.

  • The Rossomme Award for Dimensions in Volunteer Service - Ruth Antonelli. This award recognizes people who tirelessly give of their time and talents in volunteer service to the health system.

  • The Gibbons Award for Dimensions in Community Service - the Washington County Commissioners, Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan G. Shober Jr. This award is given to those who are dedicated to the health, social and civic needs of area residents and help to improve the quality of life
